US equity futures edged higher on Wednesday night (Thursday AEST) after Wall Street stocks advanced as Treasury yields eased.
As of 10:05 am AEST (12:05 am GMT), Dow futures rose 0.1%, S&P 500 futures gained 0.2% and Nasdaq-100 futures added 0.4%.
The S&P 500 snapped a three-session losing streak earlier in the session, while longer-dated U.S. Treasury yields retreated from multi-year highs after the government announced measures to ease pressure in the bond market.
The U.S. Treasury said it would more than double buybacks of 10-, 20- and 30-year government debt over the coming months.
The move came after the 30-year Treasury yield surged to its highest level in nearly 20 years earlier this week.
Investors will turn their attention to weekly U.S. jobless claims on Thursday. Economists expect initial claims for the week ended August 15 to have totalled 210,000.
