Iran has ruled out an immediate ceasefire to the ongoing fighting, stating that its position is defence and retaliation.
The war in Iran, kicked off by the United States earlier this month and backed by Israeli forces and weapons as well, has spread across the surrounding nations in the Middle East, including the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
On Monday, Esmaeil Baghaei, Iran's foreign ministry spokesperson, addressed the press and stated that there would not be an immediate ceasefire from Iran.
"There is no point to talks about anything but defence and crushing retaliations against enemies," Baghaei said.
This came on the same day as the Trump administration ordered all non-emergency government employees to leave Saudi Arabia, citing terrorism risks.
