There were seven repeat winners in the banking and finance categories of the 2024 Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards.
The awards have been running for 13 years, and one of the standout repeat winners was Commonwealth Bank, which won the Major Bank of the Year award for the 12th year running.
Another repeat winner was UniSuper, which won both the Industry Superannuation Fund of the Year and overall Superannuation Fund of the Year award for the second year in a row.
“The banking and finance category celebrated seven repeat winners, including the dominant Commonwealth Bank (winning for an incredible 12th straight year as the Major Bank of the Year), Perth-based RAC (winning for a sixth straight year as the Major General Insurer of the Year) and UniSuper which won both Industry Superannuation Fund of the Year and the overall Superannuation Fund of the Year for a second straight year – and has now won a total of seven Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards since 2019,” Roy Morgan CEO, Michele Levine said.
While repeated winners returned for consecutive years, others made a comeback after a long absence.
“There were also two companies that returned to the winner’s circle in 2024 after previous victories in their respective categories stretching back more than a decade,” Levine said.
“Defence Service Homes Insurance was awarded General Insurer of the Year for a fifth time after previous wins in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2022, and Teachers Health picked up both Private Health Insurer of the Year and Private Health Insurer of the Year (Not for Profit or Restricted) – adding to three previous victories.”
Roy Morgan says one of the most impressive winners was P&N Bank, which won Bank of the Year. The bank earned a Best of the Best award after collecting six monthly satisfaction awards. The bank had an average customer satisfaction rating of 91.6%, the second highest of any banking or finance brand.
Another notable performance was Up winning its second straight Neo Bank of the Year award. Bendigo and Adelaide Bank subsidiary has won 24 straight monthly awards across 2023-24.
It also had the highest customer satisfaction rate of all banking and finance brands with an average of 92%, earning it a top 10 spot in the Best of the Best award.
“The diverse range of winners shows these awards can be won by any brand that’s in the business of delivering high satisfaction to its customers wherever they can be found,” Levine said.
