Private air charter specialist Air Charter Service (ACS) has joined forces with Silverstone, the iconic hub of British motorsport, to become its official private charter supplier.
The partnership aims to redefine the customer experience at Silverstone's heliport, launching during the British Grand Prix. It includes innovative aviation products for year-round enjoyment, catering to affluent clients and delivering premium services tailored to their travel needs.
The heliport at Silverstone, known for its bustling activity during the British Grand Prix, serves over 6,000 passengers across 1,500 flights. Through this partnership, ACS will unveil a custom-built terminal with over 8,500 square feet (789.67 square metres) of space. Helipad, ACS's trusted partner, will enhance the passenger experience with its proprietary system, while ACS flight representatives will offer top-tier hospitality.
ACS's strategic plan extends beyond the Grand Prix, offering bespoke private aviation solutions for Silverstone’s elite clientele. These include tailored private jet and helicopter charters available throughout the year and a luxurious "park and fly" helicopter shuttle service during the Grand Prix. With seamless end-to-end experiences, these solutions are designed to meet time-sensitive and sophisticated travellers' high standards.
James Leach, CMO of ACS, highlighted the shared commitment to excellence between Silverstone and ACS. He emphasised how private aviation could enhance Silverstone's premium hospitality offerings, including the new Escapade experience.
Leach said: “Silverstone circuit has been at the centre of a sport which focuses on nothing but delivering excellence for 75 years. You can feel the absolute focus on continuous improvement when you are there. As an organisation we share that commitment to excellence and want to showcase what we can deliver in terms of customer experience, not just during the British Grand Prix, but throughout the year.
Private aviation's significant time savings, whether through helicopter shuttles or international private jet travel, reinforce their value for high-end consumers.
“Our helicopter shuttles [save] many people on average between two and five hours, whilst those travelling from abroad by private jet can often save even more time. We believe that whatever private aviation solution clients choose, the experience needs to be exceptional and that is what we intend to deliver.”
Nick Read, Chief Commercial Officer at Silverstone, expressed optimism about the partnership, noting the growing preference for helicopter travel among visitors.
Read said: “As Silverstone continues on its journey to become a year-round world class business and leisure destination, we have seen a growing number of visitors choosing to arrive by helicopter. In ACS we’ve found a partner who not only shares our passion for providing exceptional service, but who has the knowledge and experience to run what is the busiest airspace in Europe over the weekend of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.”
