WISeKey International (NASDAQ: WKEY) continued its impressive rally Monday, lifting 53.1% and extending gains from last week after surging 139% on Friday, following the company announcing its SpaceX satellite launch deal.
The tech company said its subsidiary would launch a satellite in partnership with Elon Musk's SpaceX.
The cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and internet of things company said the satellite launch of its subsidiary WISeSat.Space, is scheduled for January 14, from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
WISeKey said the launch will carry the next-generation WISeSat satellites, to protect communications from sophisticated quantum computers, which solve problems beyond the ability of classical computers, and ensure state-of-the-art security and resilience against emerging quantum threats.
Carlos Moreira, chief executive of WISeKey said: “This launch represents a leap forward in our mission to secure IoT communications and prepare for a post-quantum future.”
“By integrating SEALSQ’s Post-Quantum Chips with WISeKey’s trusted Root of Trust, we are ensuring that WISeSat remains at the forefront of satellite cybersecurity,” he added.
WISeSat addresses the growing need for secure, real-time connectivity for IoT devices, by integrating cybersecurity and satellite technology, providing trusted, end-to-end secure communication for critical industries such as logistics, agriculture, energy, and infrastructure management.
WISeKey International (NASDAQ: WKEY) closed 53.06% higher at $12.00 on Monday with a market cap of US$86.928 million.
