United States stock futures held in a narrow range on Thursday night (Friday AEST), following a sharp sell-off on Wall Street that put the major indexes on track for weekly losses.
By 10:05 am AEST (12:05 am GMT), Dow futures and S&P 500 futures were each up 0.1%, while Nasdaq-100 futures were flat.
In extended trading, Ross Stores shares jumped 8.2% after the retailer reported better-than-expected second-quarter results.
The company posted adjusted earnings of US$2.06 per share on revenue of $6.26 billion, beating market expectations for a profit of $1.95 per share on revenue of $6.16 billion.
Ross Stores also issued stronger-than-expected full-year earnings guidance, boosting investor sentiment towards the retailer.
U.S. benchmark indexes finished Thursday's session lower as long-dated U.S. Treasury yields resumed their upward move after government efforts to stabilise the bond market failed to ease investor concerns over persistent inflation.
