A peace plan has reportedly been offered by the Trump administration to Iran, with Pakistan to facilitate the negotiations.
The plan is comprised of 15 points, according to anonymous sources familiar with the matter who spoke to the New York Times.
President Donald Trump said that Iran was looking to reach a deal and that he was “in negotiations right now”, but Iran has fervently denied any such direct talks.
A key tenet of the 15-point peace plan is a month long cease fire, which would allow the plan to be discussed and negotiated, with a pause on the conflict.
There are talks set to take place in Pakistan later this week, with the U.S. and Iran present, but Israel has said it would not attend, and has doubled down on plans to increase military activity in Iran and surrounding areas.
“As we speak, Israel and the U.S., we continue to target military targets in Iran, and we will continue to do that,” said Israel’s UN ambassador Danny Danon.
