Debuting in July 2025, the Britannic Explorer, a Belmond Train in the United Kingdom, introduces a new level of slow luxury through a partnership with renowned British wellbeing brand, Wildsmith.
This collaboration brings Wildsmith’s nature-inspired treatments to a U.K. train for the first time, offering guests a unique Wellness Suite designed to harmonise body and mind.
The train's developers promise a serene escape, with curated treatments exclusive to the journey, aiming to ensure a deeply relaxing experience.
The Wellness Suite, housed in one of the train's 10 ornate carriages, will be the first of its kind on a train in England and Wales.
The Suite will feature five bespoke treatments focusing on mindfulness, grounding techniques, and personalised reflection, inspired by the scenic views outside the train's windows.
The innovative design and bespoke services aim to redefine luxury travel, creating an immersive and transformative journey for all passengers.
Hendrik Huebner, General Manager of the Britannic Explorer, emphasises that wellbeing is at the heart of the Britannic Explorer experience.
Huebner, comments: "Our collaboration with Wildsmith is a commitment to offering our guests more than just a journey; we are providing an opportunity for them to take time to reconnect with themselves and the world around them. By integrating Wildsmith’s nature-inspired approach to wellbeing into our offering, we are providing an opportunity for every guest to leave the Britannic Explorer feeling re-energised and deeply cared for. This partnership reinforces our belief that travel should be transformative, immersive, and ultimately, restorative."
Wildsmith’s treatments are rooted in radical botany, combining biodynamic principles with advanced bio-actives for skin health and overall wellbeing.
The Wellness Suite exclusively sources local ingredients, including calendula, chamomile, rose, and lavender, many of which are cultivated on Wildsmith’s biodynamic farm at Heckfield Place.
The eco-conscious approach extends to packaging, using compostable mycelium, glass, recyclable aluminium, and English ceramic, while also harnessing filtered rainwater in formulations.
Signature treatments include the “Circadian Rhythm Reset”’ a holistic experience tailored to different times of the day, and the “Radical Botany Facial”, which blends breathwork, myofascial release, and acupressure to promote radiance and balance.
Luxury accommodation onboard starts from £11,000 (A$22,492) based on a double cabin. This includes a 3-night itinerary, excursions, meals, wine and alcoholic beverages on board. The Wellness Suite will be bookable for guests on each Britannic Explorer journey.
