Samsung has launched its new Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphones, which will heavily integrate artificial intelligence features.
The new phones will include both Samsung’s own Galaxy AI suite, launched last year, and Google’s Gemini AI assistant. This will offer health and activity insights, overviews of search results, and video editing options.
“The greatest innovations are a reflection of their users, which is why we evolved Galaxy AI to help everyone interact with their devices more naturally and effortlessly while trusting that their privacy is secured,” said TM Roh, Mobile eXperience president at Samsung. “Galaxy S25 series opens the door to an AI-integrated OS that fundamentally shifts how we use technology and how we live our lives.”
“Galaxy S25 and S25+ both feature our most powerful, custom-made processor, optimised battery life and our most innovative AI,” Samsung said. All S25 models will arrive with six free months of Google’s Gemini Advanced program, which incorporates customised AI experts and research compilers.
The phones will also include post-quantum cryptography, securing their data from quantum computing hacking threats, and a new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor developed with Qualcomm.
Apple has also been rolling out its AI suite, Apple Intelligence, which launched widely in December. Its iOS 18.3 operating system update is due this month, which will enable Apple Intelligence by default.
Preorders for the S25 line began today, and the new smartphones will be for sale from 7 February.
The standard Galaxy S25 is priced from US$799 (A$1,274), while the S25+ and S25 Ultra models will reach $999 (A$1,593) and $1,299 (A$2,071).
Samsung’s share price (KSE: 005930) closed at KR₩54,300, up from its previous close at ₩53,500. Its market capitalisation is ₩360.5 trillion.
