S&P 500 futures showed little movement on Thursday night (Friday AEDT) after President Donald Trump postponed the implementation of new reciprocal tariffs.
By 10:20 am AEDT (11:20 pm GMT) Dow Jones Industrial Average futures and S&P 500 futures remained flat while Nasdaq 100 futures lost 0.2%.
In extended trading, DraftKings jumped 6% after raising the midpoint of its fiscal 2025 revenue guidance to a range of $6.3 billion to $6.6 billion.
Coinbase rose 3% after exceeding analysts’ estimates on both revenue and profit.
Roku surged 11.7% after reporting a fourth-quarter loss of $0.24 per share, significantly beating expectations of a $0.42 loss.
Meanwhile, Airbnb climbed 15.2% after posting strong Q4 results and forecasting Q1 2025 revenue between $2.23 billion and $2.27 billion, slightly below the $2.3 billion estimate.
Conversely, Twilio dropped 6.9% after issuing weaker-than-expected Q1 earnings guidance of $0.88-$0.93 per share.
Palo Alto Networks fell 5.6% after disappointing earnings.
GameStop also soared 6.6% amid speculation that it may invest in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
During Thursday’s regular session, the S&P 500 gained 1%, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 1.5%. The Dow advanced 0.8%, peaking after Trump signed a memorandum on reciprocal tariffs but refrained from immediate implementation.
Looking ahead, biopharma giant Moderna is set to report earnings before Friday’s opening bell, while investors will also watch for the latest U.S. retail sales data.
