The Burberry Winter 2025 collection, presented at London's Tate Britain, draws inspiration from the British countryside and the interiors of grand stately homes.
Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee envisioned the collection as a tribute to the weekend escapes from London, with long rainy walks and visits to grand estates.
Lee's fifth collection was modelled by Naomi Campbell, Lesley Manville, Richard E Grant, Elizabeth McGovern, and Lila Moss, the daughter of supermodel Kate Moss.
“Think of them as weekend escapees,” says Lee, of the pictures pinned to a mood board. “It’s that great Friday night exodus from London. Long rainy walks in the great outdoors to disconnect and day trips to grand stately homes.”
The collection features a mix of outdoor coats, scarves, evening wear, daywear, and suits, all rendered in twisted British fabrics.
The designs incorporate elements of classic British tropes from film and television, blending the rugged outdoors with the faded elegance of country house interiors.
The collection showcases iconic Burberry silhouettes reimagined with luxurious materials and intricate details.
Velvet brocade jackets replicate flocked wallpaper, while pheasant prints are intricately cut to create feathered trims.

The classic trench coat is recast in embossed leather, and new heirloom pieces are introduced in patchwork shearling and jacquard weaves inspired by tapestry.
The cape makes a return in knit and shearling, complete with trench elements from the Burberry archive.
Equestrian jodhpur trousers and Savile Row-inspired tailoring in birdseye wool add a touch of country pursuits to the collection.
The colour palette of the collection evokes the British countryside, with warm browns, greys, and taupe, accented by red and yellow.
The runway was adorned with drapes inspired by British landscape paintings and tapestries, creating a rich and immersive atmosphere.
Accessories included oversized scarves with chunky fringes and leather boots featuring Burberry's signature check.
The collection's emphasis on artisanal craft and romanticism brings a sense of revelry to trench coats and dresses in shredded chine damask, making the Burberry Winter 2025 collection a celebration of British creativity and heritage.
