Kamala Harris, Tim Walz, Donald Trump, and JD Vance have all hit the campaign trail today, with rapper Eminem joining former president Barack Obama at a Harris rally.
Eminem and Obama are holding a get-out-the-vote rally for Harris in Detroit, in the crucial swing state of Michigan.
The rapper also endorsed the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020. In 2017, he said of Trump: “His election was such a disappointment to me about the state of the country.”
Vice President Harris will appear on Telemundo today, a primarily Spanish-language network, where she will be interviewed by anchor Julio Vaqueiro.
The interview comes after Harris revealed a set of economic proposals targeting Latino men.
The plan includes doubling the number of registered apprenticeships and forgivable loans of up to US$20,000 for small businesses.
Her running mate, Governor Tim Walz, will appear with Obama at a separate rally in Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump was set to hold a virtual town hall on health policy with Robert F. Kennedy Jr, a former independent candidate who recently endorsed Trump. Kennedy is known for his anti-vaccine activism.
However, the event was cancelled. Trump instead hosted a roundtable with Latino religious and business leaders at his Florida golf club, and will later hold a rally in North Carolina.
Trump attacked Democrats’ immigration policies at the roundtable, a frequent theme in his campaign.
“I actually think that the biggest thing is the border, because the border is destroying our country,” he said.
His running mate, Senator JD Vance, is campaigning in Peoria and Tucson in the swing state of Arizona today.
