A Torquay concrete brutalist residence featured on Grand Designs Australia is back on the market.
Sal and Fiona Ribbera’s home at 115A Coombes Rd, was a custom build completed back in 2022.
The four-bedroom house designed by Lachlan Sheppard Architects was built from hand-poured concrete on a bushland block of land just three kilometres from the beach.
An expressions of interest campaign is expected to attract offers from $2.9m to $3.1m, closing on 16 December.
The single-level home features tall concrete walls and views of the surrounding bush through floor-to-ceiling windows.
The master bedroom features a custom floating concrete bed frame, a concrete desk in the study and a concrete bathtub.
In the central open-plan living hub there is a suspended fire place and a chemical-free swimming pool.
Ms Riberra previously said the house had a calming quality and was cosy and warm with its underfloor heating.
“You’ve got a brutalist building but all the windows look out to nature and you’ve got lots of trees,” she said, "There is a lot of really soft light that comes through and it’s just beautiful, it changes throughout the day and even from season to season.”
