The Australian sharemarket rose on Friday, supported by strong results from Nvidia and Salesforce that lifted Wall Street and boosted local technology stocks.
The S&P/ASX 200 Index gained 54.1 points, or 0.6%, to 9,092.3, with seven of the 11 sectors ending higher.
For the week, the index advanced 0.4%.
The Information Technology sector led the gains, with Xero rising 4.8%, WiseTech Global adding 2.7%, TechnologyOne gaining 3.5% and Life360 advancing 2.6%.
Financial stocks also moved higher, with Commonwealth Bank up 1.5%, NAB gaining 0.8%, Westpac rising 0.7% and ANZ adding 0.7%.
Among companies reporting results, Harvey Norman shares fell 1.8% after the retailer posted a modest 2% increase in full-year statutory profit.
The company reported net profit after tax of $528.4 million for the year ended June 30, up 2% from a year earlier.
Airline group Virgin Australia fell 1.4% after reporting net profit after tax of $501.2 million for the year ended June 30, representing a 4.7% increase year on year.
On the bond markets, 10-year and two-year yields each fell 0.2% to 5.074% and 4.688%, respectively.
