United States equity futures traded mixed on Monday night (Tuesday AEST) after Wall Street closed higher in the regular session, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbing above the 53,000 mark for the first time.
By 10 am AEST (12 am GMT), Dow futures were little changed, while S&P 500 futures slipped 0.1% and Nasdaq-100 futures eased 0.3%.
In after-hours trading, Rivian Automotive tumbled 9.3% after the electric vehicle maker launched an underwritten public offering of 75 million common shares.
SpaceX also declined 1.7% in extended trading ahead of its scheduled inclusion in the Nasdaq-100 on Tuesday.
The overnight futures action followed another positive session on Wall Street, with the Dow setting a fresh record high above 53,000.
Technology stocks led the advance, lifting the Nasdaq Composite 1.1% as semiconductor shares rebounded strongly.
Western Digital surged 7.0%, while Advanced Micro Devices gained 6.6%, helping drive the broader technology sector higher.
The S&P 500 also finished firmly in positive territory, rising 0.7%.
Investors are now turning their attention to U.S. trade balance data, due for release later on Tuesday, for further clues on the health of the world's largest economy.
