U.S. stock futures traded in a tight range on Wednesday night (Thursday AEDT) as investors digested a key earnings report from artificial intelligence leader Nvidia.
By 10:15 am AEDT (11:15 pm GMT) Dow Jones Industrial Average futures edged up 27 points, or 0.1%, S&P 500 futures hovered near flat, while Nasdaq 100 slipped 0.1%.
In after-hours deals, Nvidia shares fell 1.3%, despite delivering third-quarter results and guidance that exceeded market expectations. CEO Jensen Huang remarked that the "age of AI is in full steam", with robust demand for the company's Hopper and upcoming Blackwell chips.
Snowflake surged 19% after reporting strong quarterly earnings and announcing a multi-year strategic partnership with Anthropic.
Palo Alto Networks slipped 5% despite beating estimates for first-quarter earnings and revenue.
Wall Street closed with mixed results earlier in the day. The S&P 500 finished flat, the Dow gained nearly 140 points, and the Nasdaq Composite dipped 0.1%.
Ahead in Thursday's trade, investors will watch for fresh jobless claims and existing home sales.
Federal Reserve officials, including Cleveland Fed President Beth Hammack, Chicago Fed President Austan Goolsbee, and Kansas City Fed President Jeff Schmid, are also scheduled to speak.
On the earnings front, reports from Gap and Intuit are expected after market close.
