The latest Mercedes Benz MBUX will feature Sony Pictures IMAX Enhanced library on RIDEVU, Sony Pictures Entertainment’s (SPE) in-car entertainment service.
This service will introduce an immersive in-car entertainment experience, bringing SPE films like Venom: The Last Dance, Spider-Man: No Way Home, and Uncharted to your car.
Mercedes Benz customers can take advantage of a wide range of RIDEVU’s elevated in-car features. This includes the most advanced in-car video playback, allowing content to sync up to six different in-car screens or personal devices; easy-to-access parental control on the dashboard; unique service controls for all screens; and compatibility with a range of Android and IOS products.
“By deepening our collaboration with IMAX, we’re demonstrating our unwavering commitment to providing discerning consumers with immersive experiences that transform every journey,” SVP, of digital sales, and distribution at SPE, Pete Wood said.
Member of the Board of Management and Chief Technology Officer at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Markus Schäfer said this will elevate the experience of driving a Mercedes-Benz.
“This further reinforces our desire to elevate the user experience and deliver unrivalled in-car entertainment,” he said.
SPE’s RIDEVU service is available in the U.S., Japan, the U.K., Ireland and Germany.
Content can be accessed by the driver when the car is parked and the front and rear seat passengers.
SPE is also entering into an agreement with Xperi to offer RIDEVU via DTS AutoStage Video Service powered by Tivo™. The global video platform brings an award-winning, content-first experience to the connected car, delivering free premium content across live TV, news, sports, movies and more.
