Mercedes-AMG’s 2025 GT 63 Coupe made its Australian debut at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) Gala on Saturday.
The Coupe boasts a V8 twin turbo petrol engine, and will be priced at A$366,500 before on-road costs. AMG is Mercedes-Benz’s high-performance subsidiary.
“We have always seen many synergies and parallels between Mercedes-Benz, a company renowned for design, innovation and craftsmanship, and the way that NGV represents these same values in bringing some of the world’s most prestigious exhibitions to Melbourne,” said Mercedes-Benz COO Jaime Cohen.
The GT 63 Coupe can accelerate to 100 kilometres per hour in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 315 km/h. Its engine can produce 430 kW and 800 Nm of torque.
It includes an underbody system that can lower the car by 40 millimetres, maximising the car’s aerodynamics.
The Coupe’s interior features leather-upholstered seats with a massage function, a 11-speaker Burmester sound system, and a 64-colour lighting palette.

“The all-new Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé breathes high performance, technical leadership, supreme appeal and absolute luxury,” according to Mercedes-AMG. “It’s both motorsport thrill and everyday practicality all at once.”
Mercedes has been a partner of the NGV since 2007. Saturday’s gala marked the opening of an exhibition dedicated to Japanese contemporary artist Yayoi Kusama, of which Mercedes is the principal partner.
Mercedes-Benz’s (XETRA: MBG) share price closed at EU€54.35, down from the previous day’s €56.53. Its market cap is EU€58.15 billion.
