Macmahon Holdings said its subsidiary Decmil has secured a A$47 million contract for the design and construction of a wind farm in Western Australia.
Decmil signed the contract with global wind energy company Vestas Australia Wind Technology for the design and construction of the Civil Balance of Plant on Stage 2 of the Warradarge Wind Farm, a project located around 200 kilometres (kms) north of Perth.
The plant will be funded and developed by Bright Energy Investments, a partnership between energy retailer and generator Synergy and the private sector.
The deal will see Decmil deliver an additional 30 turbines to the existing wind farm, including wind turbine bases and 21 kms of access tracks.
The company said works would commence immediately and it expected to complete deliverables by January 2026.
“Following its acquisition by Macmahon, Decmil has made a strong start, securing new, strategically aligned work. This project is a continuation of Decmil's successful history of delivering Civil Balance of Plant projects for wind farms across Australia,” Macmahon’s Chief Executive Michael Finnegan said.
“Delivering civil infrastructure to support renewable energy projects is a priority for Macmahon and a key component in creating a more scalable and diversified business.”
The contract builds on Macmahon’s secured orderbook, following Decmil’s project completion including the Warradarge (Stage 1), Yandin, and Ryan Corner Wind Farms.
Macmahon Holdings (ASX: MAH) shares were trading unchanged on Friday at $0.355 and the company has a market capitalisation of $754.39 million.
