Shebara, Saudi Arabia’s new luxury resort island in the Red Sea, is set to open this month.
The resort is located on Sheybarah Island, 25 kilometres off the western Saudi coast. It is part of developer Red Sea Global’s high-end tourism destination The Red Sea.
Shebara “is built to offer luxury, sustainability, and innovation converging to redefine how tourism is delivered,” according to Red Sea Global. “The resort provides direct access to an extraordinary marine environment where guests can enjoy diving in some of the most pristine, biodiverse waters in the world.”
The resort features 73 over-water and beachfront villas, and was designed by Dubai architectural firm Killa Design.
Shebara includes a fitness centre, a yoga pavilion, a restaurant helmed by Michelin-starred chef Marco Garfagnini, and a nature-inspired spa.
“Home to its own solar farm and an array of integrated utilities, the resort represents everything that Red Sea Global stands for as a responsible developer,” Red Sea Global said.
Reservations opened at the end of October.
Shebara is offering an additional complimentary night for all bookings of two consecutive nights at Shebara, to celebrate the resort’s opening.
Red Sea Global is owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. Another resort, Thuwal Private Retreat, is set to open in the area later this year.
