Jaguar unveiled its new electric concept car, the Type 00, in Miami yesterday.
The Type 00 will be a template for future Jaguar vehicles following the company’s rebrand, according to Jaguar.
“We have forged a fearlessly creative new character for Jaguar that is true to the DNA of the brand but future facing, relevant and one that really stands out,” said Jaguar managing director Rawdon Glover.
“Type 00 is a pure expression of Jaguar’s new creative philosophy,” said Gerry McGovern, Jaguar Land Rover’s chief creative officer. “It is our first physical manifestation and the foundation stone for a new family of Jaguars that will look unlike anything you’ve ever seen.”

The Type 00’s range is 770 kilometres under the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure, and the vehicle can add 321 kilometres of charge in just 15 minutes.
The car features a glassless tailgate, a body-harmonised glazed roof, and full-width tail lights. Both blue and pink colorways were shown.
A production-ready four-door edition of the Type 00 will be revealed late next year.

The Type 00 was revealed at Miami Art Week, a week of art fairs running from 2-8 December.
Jaguar announced its rebrand in November, showcasing a new logo ahead of its transition to an electric vehicle-only company.
Photos of a scrapped Jaguar EV were leaked last month. The vehicle was shelved in 2021, with the company saying the design would not match its plans for the rebrand.
