Fortinet has opened a new, company-owned Australian headquarters in North Sydney, also marking the cybersecurity company's first Asia-Pacific region innovation hub.
The $75 million facility will hold more than 200 employees, with the site marking the latest in a string of Fortinet property investments in the United States, Canada, and Spain.
Key features of the hub include a high-tech data centre with in-region sovereign hosting services, secure access service edge and Level 3 security data classification and a secondary on-site data centre that will offer a technical assistance centre for testing, simulations, and troubleshooting.
The new headquarters also has capacity for the workforce to expand as well, seemingly in line with Fortinet's commitment to the Australian market where its business has tripled over the past five years, and will offer expanded training facilities, partnerships with local education institutions, and upskilling initiatives.
“Fortinet’s investment in Australia underscores its commitment to advancing cybersecurity resilience across the region,” Fortinet Regional Sales VP Vishak Raman said.
“With the launch of Fortinet’s first Innovation Hub in the Asia-Pacific region, the company is not only strengthening local capabilities but also enabling enterprises, governments, and Australia’s critical infrastructure operators to drive digital resilience, accelerate innovation, and build a cyber-ready workforce.”
