Bitcoin also performed well, gaining 4.5% to $65,777.9.
In Australia, Tuesday's key events include annual general meetings for Telstra, Baby Bunting, and Region, while HUB24 is set to provide a market update.
On the bond markets, 10-year and 2-year rates were steady at multi-month highs of 4.283% and 3.868%, respectively.
