Apple unveiled its latest innovations at a major event held at its global headquarters in California on Monday.
The showcase featured the new iPhone lineup and the introduction of the company's artificial intelligence (AI) software, Apple Intelligence.
The iPhone 16 series, set to launch on September 20, includes four models: the standard iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, and the premium iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max.
Apple has equipped the standard iPhone 16 models with the AI-inspired A18 chip, skipping the previous A17 Bionic. The Pro models boast an even more powerful A18 Pro chip to support their advanced features.
Apple Intelligence, the company's AI platform, will initially launch in US English, with Australian English support coming in December.
The AI system offers features like image generation, photo clean-up, and text proofreading, while also providing deeper integration with daily tasks.
Notable AI enhancements include context-aware text reply recommendations and "notification summaries" that provide concise overviews of messages and emails.
The event also introduced the tenth-generation Apple Watch Series 10 and updates to the AirPods line.
