* THIS ACTUAL CAR TO BE FEATURED IN UPCOMING WHEELS MAGAZINE MAIN FEATURE....We are thrilled to present this rare opportunity to secure one of the most iconic supercars of the 70s and 80s: the breath-taking 1986 Lamborghini Countach 5000 QV
(Quattrovalvole) in stunning Nero Black, paired with a luxurious Champagne Nappa leather cabin. This extraordinary Countach was first delivered to the UK by London Lamborghini in August 1986, before being imported to Australia by its last owner over 20+ years ago. Around 10 years ago, the car underwent a comprehensive, nut-and-bolt restoration, with every detail-body, interior, and mechanical componentsmeticulously restored to be period-correct by Blackmanns leather specialist and Clem of Unique Restorations one of the best in the industry specialising in Italian supercars from the 70'-90's. Originally delivered in Rosso Red with a Champagne Nappa cabin, the car was repainted in Nero Black during the restoration to match the ner's Miura in 2005 and then a nut bolt restoration in 2018 maintained the Nero coachwork but period correct interior, includi, door cards and carpets, remain as they were originally designed and specified. Also the front indicators lenses were tinted BUT supplied with original brand new lenses when sold. APPI by one of the foremost experts in Australia has been completed and the QV is ready to go. 100% rust free and structurally perfect as painstakingly restored by master restorers.
As one of the most recognisable supercars ever built, the Countach QV 5000 is still highly coveted by car enthusiasts worldwide. It remains the centrepiece of many prestigious collections. To add to its authenticity, the car comes with its original leather delivery wallet, sales order, manuals, and bookletsall confirming its status as a fully matching numbers car, which is vital for its future value.
In 1970, Project LP112 was the code name given to what would ultimately become the Countach. The Countach name came from a styling assistant who said the Piedmontese term "contach!"- a phrase of awe—upon seeing the final concept. The concept shown in 1971 was a huge hit however, it took until 1974 before we saw the first production Countach.
