Malaysia Airlines is bringing its latest Airbus and private business class suites while boosting flights to Australia over the coming months.
The new Airbus A330neo is designed to be quieter and more comfortable than older A330 models, which typically fly between Kuala Lumpur and Australia.
The new A330neos also has 28 business suites framed by high walls and sliding doors for privacy.
This follows trends of other two-aisle and even single-aisle aircraft which have adopted doors for privacy like jets from Airbus and Boeing.
Alongside the flatbeds is additional storage space, wireless charging, a 17.3” 4K display screen and free wifi.
The same business class is expected to be added to the longer-range flagship Airbus 350s beginning 2026.
The A330neo KL-Melbourne route was debuted in December 2024 and will feature on all three daily flights by the end of the year.
“It speaks to the importance of the Victorian market that Malaysia Airlines plans to use its newest aircraft, featuring the latest onboard product for its enhanced Melbourne services,” Melbourne Airport CEO Lorie Argus said.
As well as Australian flights, Malaysia Airlines plans to bring the A33 Neo to Auckland.
