At least eight people were injured when a plane carrying 80 people flipped onto its roof while landing in frigid conditions at an airport in Canada on Monday (Tuesday AEDT).
Delta Airlines flight 4819 operated by Endeavour Air travelling from Minneapolis crashed at Toronto Pearson International Airport at about 2:45 pm local time (7:45 pm GMT, 6:45 am Tuesday AEDT).
“All passengers and crew are accounted for,” Toronto Pearson Airport said in a post on its X account.
Videos showed passengers safely leaving the CRJ-900 jet.
Earlier the airport said snow had stopped falling but frigid temperatures and high winds were expected.
Crews had been clearing about 22 centimetres of snow that fell over the weekend to enable flights to operate.
