An Israeli air strike in central Beirut killed the <a href="https://apnews.com/article/israel-palestinians-hamas-war-lebanon-hezbollah-iran-060c45c86b937d255270d272590884a6">Hezbollah militant group’s chief spokesman</a> on Sunday (Monday AEDT) according to The Associated Press.&nbsp;&nbsp;Mohammed Afif al-Naboulsi was killed at the Arab socialist Baath party’s office in Beirut, Hezbollah confirmed in a statement.&nbsp;Israel’s military calls him Hezbollah’s chief propagandist and spokesperson and “wielded significant influence over Hezbollah’s military operations,” the <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/idf-confirms-killing-hezbollah-media-chief-in-beirut-strike-involved-in-psychological-terror/">IDF said in a statement</a>, after joining Hezbollah in the 1980s.&nbsp;&nbsp;The attack marked the latest&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/hezbollah-lebanon-nasrallah-israel-8b2ae56a54d641c6910a79e9e5699824">targeted killing of a senior Hezbollah official</a> and triggered&nbsp;European diplomats to push to revisit previously agreed language on the topic of global conflicts at this week’s <a href="https://azzet.com/news/g20-in-rio-to-tackle-climate-change-global-conflicts">G20 Summit in Brazil</a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;The strike occurred near a busy intersection, killing four people and wounding 14 others including two children, <a href="https://www.barrons.com/news/lebanon-says-4-dead-in-israeli-strike-that-killed-hezbollah-official-3d97342e">Lebanon’s Health Ministry</a> said, with no Israeli evacuation warning given beforehand.&nbsp;&nbsp;Meanwhile, the&nbsp;Health Ministry confirmed another air strike in central Beirut on Sunday hit a computer shop, killing two people and wounding 22 others.&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href="https://apnews.com/article/israel-lebanon-hezbollah-death-toll-798b846237a24ed37490ea29bd4e3aba">More than 3,400 people have been killed</a>&nbsp;in Lebanon, according to the Health Ministry, and over 1.2 million people have been displaced. It is unknown how many people killed are part of Hezbollah.&nbsp;Hezbollah initiated attacks on Israel the day after Hamas’ October 7, 2023, armed incursions triggered the war in Gaza. Israel launched retaliatory airstrikes in Lebanon with conflict steadily growing.&nbsp;The air strikes come after <a href="https://apnews.com/article/israel-hezbollah-lebanon-iran-ceasefire-beirut-larijani-4659bd568a65da4511852a34f54fbc17">Lebanon’s prime minister</a> asked Iran to help secure a cease-fire in the Israel-Hezbollah war. &nbsp;
