Fernwayer has launched a marketplace to connect travellers with curated private tours, the company said today.
Tours are limited to between two and eight travellers, and will target cultural, artistic, and outdoor experiences.
"Uncurated platforms overwhelm travellers with endless, lookalike options, reducing experiences to bare-bones offerings and turning tours into transactions,” said Fernwayer co-founder Alok Singh. “At Fernwayer, we cut through the noise with curated, one-of-a-kind experiences, transparent pricing, instant booking, and a commitment to equitable practices.”
“Travel should be more than just a journey from point A to point B. It should touch the heart, inspire curiosity, create empathy and foster real human connection,” according to co-founder Vinitaa Jayson.
Fernwayer’s first slate of private tours will cover Italy, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, and Croatia.
The company’s featured tours include guided hikes through Morocco’s Atlas Mountains and tastings at high-end wineries in Cádiz, Spain. Fernwayer has partnered with local artisans and environmentalists to curate its experiences.
The company plans to expand to other nations soon, having said in April that it will add new countries every three to six months.
Fernwayer is based in San Francisco. Its tours began rolling out in June 2024.
Tour bookings are available through Fernwayer’s website or its iOS app.
